Entitled Cinder, it's due for release on October 11, courtesy of Touch & Go in the U.S. and the band's own Hope and Anchor label in Australia. Cinder was recorded earlier this year in Melbourne, with Casey Rice (Tortoise, Gastr del Sol, Liz Phair) at the production helm. For the first time, Dirty Three have added vocals to their sound, courtesy of Chan Marshall (Cat Power) and Mekons trooper Sally Timms. Here's the smoldering rundown:
